Standing Seam Valley is an essential roofing component designed for areas where two sloping roof surfaces meet to form an internal valley. These roof intersections naturally collect and direct significant amounts of rainwater and melting snow, making proper drainage and weather protection particularly important.
The profile features a V-shaped central drainage channel with formed side sections and return folds. According to the technical drawing, the profile includes a 4½″ lower channel section, a 2¼″ upper section, and a 1¼″ return detail.
Designed for standing seam metal roofing applications, Standing Seam Valley helps guide water toward the roof drainage system while providing protective coverage at internal roof junctions. Its formed edges create defined transitions for integration with compatible standing seam roofing panels.
When installed with appropriate underlayment, fastening, and waterproofing details, the valley flashing helps reduce the risk of water penetration beneath the roofing system.
